Watling Park School opened in high quality temporary accommodation in September 2015 with two Reception classes at:
The school is currently located on the former hard court area at the rear of the site, ahead of work expected to begin in summer 2016 on a brand new building for the school. Our current entrance is half way down Pavilion Way.
Planning permission has been submitted for an exciting new state-of-the-art building to Barnet Local Authority, with the proposal expected to be heard on 31 March 2016. Details of the planning meeting can be found in this buildings newsletter and we strongly encourage all parents to attend this meeting, representing the interests of the school.
If approved, the building is expected to be completed for classes to begin in the new school by September 2017. This is just 17 months away!

The new state-of-the-art educational and recreational facilities will also include a 3G pitch, which will be accessible to the local community in the evenings and at weekends. Watling Park School is clear in its vision that the school will provide community access to facilities outside of school hours, creating a community hub for the residents of Burnt Oak. It is our expectation that we will provide a community outdoor all-weather sports pitch with changing rooms that are directly accessible to the community without accessing the school. The school would be available for hire and we would encourage the provision of indoor leisure and sporting opportunities within the school for the local community. We are committed to providing this at low cost to local community groups.
