Awaiting news from the DfE

Posted on July 14, 2014 by Tom Legge

We were thrilled to reach the next stage in the approvals process for free schools when Trustees were invited for an interview at the Department for Education’s offices in London last week.

The 90-minute interview gave our team the chance to demonstrate in person to an expert panel our vision, motivation and ability run a successful free primary school in the Burnt Oak area of Barnet.

We feel that our experienced team responded well to the robust questioning on all aspects of our application and we are now waiting to hear whether Watling Park School will be approved to the ‘pre-opening’ stage, when we will be able to start to make our vision a reality.

We realise what a huge moment it is for all of those who have pledged their support for the school and we’ll let you know as soon as we hear from the DfE.

Whether you are considering sending your child(ren) to Watling Park School or would simply like to be kept informed about the progress of the school, please sign up here – we hope to be in touch with some positive news soon!
